Tritons,

Beginning spring quarter, all Edmonds College students will have two IDs:

  • ctcLink ID
  • Triton ID

Each ID will allow you to access different services to support your success.

Your ctcLink ID will allow you to access Canvas, pay tuition, look up your class schedule, review your student records, update your personal information, register for classes, and apply for graduation.

Your Triton ID will allow you to access G Suite applications including your new student email (Gmail with a @student.edmonds.edu domain), connect to campus wifi, log in to computer labs, access library resources, log in to checked out Chromebooks, and connect to virtual computer labs.

Important note: Your existing EdMail account will be discontinued on Aug. 31. You will need to transfer your EdMail account with your new Triton ID Account by this date. Instructions to transfer account data can be found on our Triton ID FAQ page. More information will be sent out about this later this spring to your preferred email address that you set up in ctcLink. Until the transfer is initiated by you, you will have two accounts. Please note: It’s important to set your preferred email address in ctcLink.

Attached are step-by-step instructions with links and screenshot images of how to activate your new Triton ID Account.

We understand that these are extra steps for you in addition to all of the changes via ctcLink so we appreciate your patience. The good news: These steps are a one-time set-up. Thank you for your willingness to work with us toward creating a better student experience for you.

To learn more about this change, please check out the Student Accounts web page with FAQs.

  • If you would like assistance or have questions, you can chat with a live agent on Zoom Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • If you are picking up a Chromebook for spring quarter, please plan for extra time at your scheduled pickup to walk through the activation with an agent on site.

From all the Edmonds College staff, we wish you a successful spring quarter!

Steps to transfer data between Google Accounts (ie from your EdMail account to your new Triton Account):

Please be advised: To avoid losing your old data and saved work, transfer your data during spring quarter.

Instructions: Transfer your EdMail Drive and Mail content with Google Takeout.

  1. Login to your existing EdMail account
  2. Click on your profile picture and choose Manage your Google Account
  3. Click Transfer your content to your destination account (student.edmonds.edu)
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions

Hello Tritons!

Many of you have already activated your ctcLink account and registered for Spring term. Thank you!

*PLEASE NOTE*

Your SID is going away. Your new ID number, known as a ctcLink ID is now 9 digits that begins with 101-**-**** or 20*-**-****. Use this to log in to both your ctcLink and Canvas accounts starting spring quarter.

The next step is to set up preferences for your Name, Email, Phone, Address, and Program in ctcLink.

Follow these steps to check and set how the Edmonds College campus and your instructors will communicate with you:

  • Log in to ctcLInk and visit your Student Portal
  • Select the Profile Tile
  • Review each of the sections on the left side panel
  • To add a new detail, click on the plus sign and enter the contact information
  • Be sure that there is a checkmark for preferred email and phone

Tutorials with more detailed instructions and step by step screenshots can be found on our Edmonds College Student ctcLink site.

*NECESSARY TO GRADUATE*

Next, ensure your Academic Program (Program of Study/Major) is accurate in ctcLink for graduation purposes and so you don’t encounter any issues with your funding source. Follow these steps to check your Academic Program:

  • Log in to ctcLInk and visit your Student Portal
  • Select the Academic Progress Tile
  • From the left side panel, select Expected Graduation Term
  • View your Academic Program

To update this information, you can submit the Academic Program Change Request Form. Changes can only be made in between quarters by the Enrollment Services office. Please be sure to submit your form no later than the 10th day of the quarter, April 16. Changes made after this date will not go into effect until summer quarter.

Please help your friends, classmates, and peers by sharing this information so that we all experience a smooth transition into spring quarter together.

For additional support, visit itsupport.edmonds.edu to submit a request ticket or join a zoom lobby with a live agent Monday through Thursday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and Tuesdays 5-8 p.m.
