Trash Talking

 

Every member of Green team takes turn once a week trash talking from 1 to 2 hours. Team provides education during lunch hour about recycle materials, accepted compostables and trash sort.

When: During Lunch Hour
Where: Brier Cafeteria

Brier Cafeteria provides students with compostable/recycle materials with such as: forks, knives, spoons, soup containers, salad containers, cups. There are three trash bins include recycle, compost and trash sort with their samples that belong to each kind of waste.

Note from Heather Teegarden: "Sometimes items will be marketed as “Biodegradable” but only things marked as 100% compostable or Certified Compostable or Commercially Compostable are actually OK in the compost bin that goes to our local Composting facilities."
